We size every sump pump to your basin, discharge distance, and Altamont, OR water table, not a generic off-the-shelf number.
An oversized or undersized sump pump both cause problems down the line — short-cycling, premature motor failure, or simply not keeping up during a real storm. We calculate GPH capacity against your basin's actual inflow rather than reaching for a default size.
Every sump pump installation is completed by a licensed, insured technician, with electrical work handled to code.
We carry common pump models on the truck so a failed unit can often be replaced the same day you call.
Battery backup add-ons are priced separately and clearly, so you can decide what fits your budget.
We calculate gallons-per-hour pump capacity based on your basin size and typical inflow rate, not a one-size-fits-all recommendation.
We scope every Sump Pump Installation job in person before quoting it, since two properties with the same symptom rarely need the same fix.
We install submersible pumps rated for continuous duty, not the lighter-duty units sold for occasional use.
A battery backup pump kicks in automatically if the power goes out during a storm — exactly when you need it most.
This option works well as a second layer of protection alongside a battery backup system.
We also inspect discharge line routing to make sure water is actually getting away from the foundation, not just to the yard next to it.
An undersized basin cycles the pump too frequently, shortening its lifespan — we resize basins when the existing one isn't keeping up.
Tell us your pump's age, symptoms, and whether it failed or you're installing new — that shapes what we bring on the visit.
We also check the discharge line route and check valve condition as part of the same visit.
You'll see the recommended pump horsepower, basin size, and any backup options broken out with pricing.
We test the new pump under load, including a simulated power outage if a backup system is installed, before we leave.
"Sump pump failed overnight and flooded part of our storage room. New pump was installed with a backup battery before the next storm hit."
— Altamont Customer
"Water-powered backup pump has been a good second layer since our power goes out more than we'd like during storms."
— Altamont Homeowner
"Appreciated that they actually tested the backup battery under a simulated outage before leaving."
— Altamont Customer
"Fast, professional install and they hauled away the old failed unit."
— Altamont Homeowner
We measure inflow during inspection and recommend a pump rated in gallons per hour to match it.
If you've had a power outage during a storm before, or your basement has flooded from pump failure, a backup system is worth the investment.
We can test an existing pump's condition during an inspection rather than assuming it needs replacement.
If a specialty basin or pump size is needed, we'll give you a realistic timeline upfront.
A primary pump runs on household power and handles day-to-day drainage; a backup pump activates during a power outage or primary pump failure.
Terms vary by pump model, and we'll explain exactly what's covered before you approve the quote.
